Top 10 of 2010: Called Out in Kansas

For the next few days I want to highlight some of my favorite blogs, particularly those that pertain to the church and life as a believer. These bloggers and their blogs have all impacted the way I think about the church, faith and being a believer. I hope you will get the chance to check some of them out.

4. Called Out in Kansas
Mark Van Norden

Mark and I started blogging around the same time and about the same kinds of things. We even both include our geographical locations in our blog names (I may have inadvertently copied you on that one Mark, sorry!). He writes a lot about faith and worship and great stuff like that. He regularly comments on my blog and we have become good friends through email. Our friendship is one of the many that has come about through blogging and it is one that I am incredibly grateful for. Mark always has an encouraging word to share either through email, comments, or in posts on Called Out in Kansas.
From Evangelism at its Best?, a post inspired by a very common “witnessing” situation:

We are not selling a get out of hell free card here.  I am really not interested, personally, in preaching Christ as a way to avoid eternal damnation.  I am much more interested in preaching Christ as the center of my life, the redeemer of my soul, the final sacrifice that makes me right with God, and brings me back into relationship with God.
