Portland’s Sudanese immigrants are happy with secession – Examiner Article

I have posted a new Religion and Politics article at the Portland, ME Examiner: Portland’s Sudanese immigrants are happy with secession

Here is an excerpt:

There are great opportunities for the Christian community, both Sudanese, and American, to reach out to this newly developing country in need of wells, schools, medicine, and other basic necessities. Regina Nathaniel, a Sudanese immigrant living in Portland explains, “Even if [southerners relocating from the north] cannot work, we have kettles, we are farmers that cultivate food with their own hands, we have enough products to take care of us.” Her assumption is that of caring for each other much like the believers in Acts.

If you have the chance please read the rest and let me know what you think. Thanks.
