Proposed Lewiston casino… – Examiner Article

I have posted a new Religion and Politics article at the Portland, ME Examiner: Proposed Lewiston casino draws attention of the Maine Christian Coalition

Here is an excerpt:

Any time money is spent for entertainment purposes it could be considered wasted. Going out to a movie is no more righteous than spending $20 at the track. Entertainment can be an opportunity to relax or spend time with friends and family, but moderation is key, gambling included.

If you have the chance please read the rest and let me know what you think. Thanks.

I’ve never been able to see much of a difference between gambling and investing. Gambling is simply the way poor people invest. Those who have consistently “invested” in the Patriots over the past couple of years have probably made a better return on their money than those who have invested in stock market. I’m not sure, but if you’re a skilled gambler, it may be a sin not to do it.
