I have posted a new Religion and Politics article at the Portland, ME Examiner:
Environmental issues; focal point in Maine budget, but what do Christians think?
Here is an excerpt:
there may be a couple considerations for Christians before they decide to write off the environment. The first is the fact that the earth is God’s creation. God created the earth and everything else and stated that it was “good.” It would not be stretch then to understand pollution and the destruction of the environment as the result of sinful man, and not endorsed by the Creator. Essentially when Christians say they don’t care about the environment it is like walking on the Mona Lisa and thinking, “oh well, Da Vinci said he was going to make a new one anyway.”
If you get the chance, please read the full article, and share your thoughts. Thanks.
